Travel and Tourism

The ever-expanding travel and tourism industry continues to employ more persons worldwide than any other business! A career in this constantly changing, dynamic industry offers many exciting rewards, opportunities, and challenges for the travel professional. This program combines practical hands-on computer training, along with the necessary theoretical background, in order to experience both the technical and sales skills for a career in travel and tourism. Both Apollo and SABRE, the two main computer reservation systems used in Canadian travel agencies, are taught in our program. Worldwide destinations are studied in all courses throughout the program.

Graduates of this program have gone on to work in all sectors of the travel industry, including: corporate / leisure retail travel, wholesale travel, airlines, car rental firms, tourist boards, foreign exchange, hotels, and even cruise ships. Positions have ranged from travel consultants and reservations agents, to agency managers and owners, to assistant pursers on cruise ships.
