Orthopaedic Programs Orthopaedic Technologist The Orthopaedic Technologist program is designed to teach the basic principles of orthopaedic techniques as they apply to the treatment of musculoskeletal injury and disease. Primarily providing casting services to patients, a career in orthopaedics involves developing the skills used in administering traction and cast techniques, and working with other orthopaedic equipment. As the ability to work both independently with patients and with a health care team is most important, a career in this field will appeal to those who have well-developed interpersonal skills.
